The GAC S7 is sold in eleven trims across the 2026 and 2025 model years. For an importer, that range is an opportunity: you can build a showroom ladder from an entry trim to a flagship on one platform. This guide compares the trims and explains how to think about price and margin. Export prices change with volume, timing and destination, so we quote them per order rather than publishing a list.
How are the GAC S7 trims tiered?
Within each model year the trims climb in a clear order — Pro, then LiDAR variants, then Max, then Ultra 4WD. The table groups them into four tiers for planning purposes.
| Tier | Trims | Electric range (CLTC) | System power | What you pay for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | 2026 Pro · 2025 Pro+ | 255 / 205 km | 318 / 288 kW | Range, space, essentials |
| Tech | 2026 Pro LiDAR · 2025 Pro+ LiDAR · 2025 Max Smart Driving | 255 / 205 / 205 km | 318 / 288 / 288 kW | Driver-assistance hardware |
| Comfort | 2026 Max LiDAR · 2025 Max · 2025 Max LiDAR | 255 / 205 / 205 km | 318 / 288 / 288 kW | Rear massage seats, rear screen, HUD, 22 speakers |
| Flagship 4WD | 2026 Ultra 4WD LiDAR · 2025 Ultra 4WD · 2025 Ultra 4WD LiDAR | 240 / 180 / 180 km | 398 / 368 / 368 kW | Dual motors, off-road mode, pixel lights |
Which trim gives the most electric range per unit of cost?
The 2026 GAC S7 Pro 255km. It is the entry trim of the newest model year yet carries the larger 38.88 kWh battery, so it offers the longest electric range in the line-up at the lowest 2026 specification. For markets where buyers compare electric range first, it is the natural volume model.
Where do margins usually come from?
We cannot tell you your margin — it depends on duties, taxes, logistics and local pricing. But importers we talk to consistently look at three levers:
- Landed cost, not FOB price. Duties and taxes in many countries are charged on the value of the vehicle, so a cheaper trim can carry a proportionally lower tax bill. Ask your broker for the duty treatment of plug-in hybrids before choosing trims.
- Visible equipment. Rear massage seats, a rear screen and a head-up display are easy to demonstrate in a showroom. LiDAR hardware is harder to demonstrate if navigation functions are limited locally.
- Shipping per unit. Mixed trims in one shipment spread freight costs. We plan loading to reduce shipping cost per vehicle.
What is a sensible first order mix?
A common approach is a ladder of three: an entry trim for volume and advertised price, a comfort trim for buyers who step up, and one flagship 4WD for the showroom. For example:
- 2026 Pro 255km — volume and headline price
- 2025 Max 205km — comfort features without LiDAR
- 2026 Ultra 4WD LiDAR 240km — flagship and test-drive car

2026 or 2025: which model year to stock?
Stock the 2026 if electric range is your headline: 255 km versus 205 km CLTC on front-wheel-drive trims. Consider the 2025 if you want the widest equipment choice — seven trims — or the 2025 Ultra 4WD's 5.8-second acceleration and soft-close doors. Both years share the engine, battery chemistry and body, so parts and training carry across.
